Les Jeudis du Suquet 2026

This summer, Thursday evenings will take on a new atmosphere in the historic district of Cannes.

From 2 July to 27 August 2026, Rue du Pré will host Les Jeudis du Suquet every week. From 6 pm to 10 pm, musicians, orchestras, brass bands and live groups will take over the area for a series of free events.

The idea is simple: come for the music, walk through the streets of old Cannes and enjoy the evening over a drink or dinner.

 

1. Nine events throughout the summer

Les Jeudis du Suquet will take place every Thursday in July and August.

The scheduled dates are 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 July, followed by 6, 13, 20 and 27 August 2026.

Each evening runs from 6 pm to 10 pm on Rue du Pré. Entry is free and no booking is required to attend the performances.

 

2. A different musical programme each week

The programme brings together several formats, including DJs, brass bands, orchestras and live groups.

The opening evening on 2 July will feature a DJ and the Fanfare de l’Espérance de Cannes. Other artists and ensembles will then follow throughout the summer.

The line-up changes from one week to the next, making it possible to return several times without experiencing exactly the same atmosphere.

 

3. Rue du Pré at the heart of the event

The performances will be centred around Rue du Pré, one of the liveliest streets in Le Suquet.

During the evening, the music will accompany visitors as they move between the terraces and restaurants of the district. Some local venues will also offer special deals for the occasion.

You can come simply to listen to the concerts or plan a full evening with a walk and dinner in the area.

 

4. How to plan your evening

To avoid the hottest part of the day, you can make your way to Le Suquet in the late afternoon.

One option is to walk up to Place de la Castre for the view over Cannes, then head back down towards Rue du Pré before the performances begin.

You can also start directly from the Old Port, walk towards Rue Saint-Antoine and continue on to Rue du Pré. The whole district is easy to explore on foot.

 

5. An easy evening from Hotel Alnéa

From Hotel Alnéa, Le Suquet is within walking distance through the city centre and the Old Port area.

There is no need to arrange a car or any special transport. You can leave the hotel at the end of the day, enjoy the performances, have dinner in the district and then walk back at your own pace.

The location also makes it easy to decide at the last minute, depending on the mood of the evening or the programme announced for that week.
